After 2 months of watching, I’ve finally caught up with the latest episodes! If you haven’t gotten on the HIMYM bandwagon, it’s summer; now would be the perfect time.
Just a side note: Neil Patrick Harris is gay so that every other guy would have an equal chance with any girl. He is just Legen-wait for it-dary!
Heads up: video isn’t mine, it’s CBS’.

Am I the only one who did not know?
I can’t believe this will be the last season of House! It came as a shock to everyone. My heart was still starting to heal from Chuck ending and now this? I’ve been a fan of House since day 1! If this is any indication of what 2012 has in store for me, oh boy, I can’t wait! *sarcasm* I’m taking comfort in the fact that they promised an amazing end to the series. Let me tell you, I have high expectations.
Although I’m a little sad that this amazing show’s ending ( I was hoping it would run another season or so), I kind of saw it coming. A bunch has happened in the series that a new shocking twist would be quite difficult to come up with (I don’t doubt the writers’ capabilities though). It’s probably for the best.
All I can say is that I fell in love with House and the series. It’s probably one of the reasons why I took into consideration becoming a doctor and until now, 1 term left before I graduate from university, I’m still considering taking medicine.
I’m definitely going to miss that bastard of a doctor!

Apathy Kills
I don’t know if the suicide attempt at Miguel last week is true but people’s jokes and negative comments about the situation disgust me. If the girl wanted to commit suicide, the least we can all do is reassure her that suicide is not the answer. Encourage her to seek help. Don’t pull her down. Apathy kills.
I’ve gone through tough times. Thankfully, I’m better now and I talk about my past to encourage those who are going through what I went through. If I could wish one thing, it would be that people had empathy. If we all could just imagine what it feels to live someone else’s life, the world would be much better. You don’t know what she was feeling, you don’t know what she’s going through, we all have no right to judge her. Yes, it’s sad that she resulted to committing suicide but no one deserves to be ridiculed or made fun off for doing something as serious as this.
I heard rumors that she might be given a major offense or something along that line. What she did might have been against school rules so I get it but still, I don’t think fighting fire with fire is the best solution. She needs help. Anyone who tries to commit suicide needs help. Suspension, expulsion, whatever it is, is not the brightest thing to do. I can’t stress enough how important help is.
And, to those who might be going through the same thing she’s going through and who have had thoughts, no matter how miniscule it may be, about suicide, suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. It will get better. It DOES get better!
If you need that first step to seeking help and you’re too afraid to talk to your parents or friends (although I encourage you to do so because they are your family and friends for a reason, they care!), The non-profit organization, To Write Love On Her Arms helped me through my low moments. Check them out. They’ve helped save thousands of lives with their work. If you’re going through tough times or if you know someone who is or if you just want to help out then go to TWLOHA.com
Again, stop with the ridiculous apathetic comments and start looking at the bigger picture. It is a serious matter.

It’s really over. What the series finale of Chuck did to me is the exact reason why I never invest myself, to the point of really falling in love with [it], in a TV series. That last scene on the beach made my crying turn into ugly crying.
I just had to put the beach scene from the pilot and the finale side-by-side. Most shows end “perfectly” in the sense that everyone gets what we all hoped they would. What’s different with Chuck is it ended imperfectly perfect. It played with our emotions. It didn’t give an ending that’s only fit for the screen. It was a realistically unreal ending. It didn’t hurt that the entire cast was perfection!
I wouldn’t change any part of the series finale. It was that good.

Amusing things happen the least you expect them.
This week is one of those weeks where a few years from now, while sitting at a café, I’ll remember and just suddenly laugh like a lunatic. Here are a few things that happened from this week: *Excuse my lack of skill in storytelling. Some might seem odd and boring but trust me, while it was happening, it was funny.
A. Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar
1. I went with my family to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar. This place is somewhat like an Intramuros in Bataan. We got to relieve the old days when the Philippines was still pretty. It started off rough since there was sort of a miscommunication among the people of the place. Although it was beautiful. I was laughing my ass off the entire trip. Here’s what happened… A few of my relatives arrived earlier however, they were asked to wait outside in the sunny yet windy, dirt-filled road because apparently, only 2 people were allowed to enter. It just so happened that those were my aunts who were “prima donnas”. Lo and behold, when my other aunt, her family and I got to the place, we got a text saying that we should probably speak Spanish because our aunts who went ahead weren’t allowed to enter. As a joke, my uncle who was driving went, “Muchaco, andale! Andale!” Guess what? The guard let us in. The faces of my aunts as we passed them were priceless! A lot happened after but let’s just say, they didn’t get over the fact that they were treated as Indios so the entire time, everything that happened, they’d relate it to being treated as Indios.
2. One of the houses we went to for the tour had huge empty rooms and hallways. My cousin and I looked at each other for a few seconds and without speaking, we understood what we wanted to do! We ran gracefully around the rooms like some woman during the old days in her dress while screaming “Father! Mother!” in a British accent; until the tour guide and the other people saw us and looked at us like we were crazy.
3. There was this huge grassy area like the one from the Sound of Music. I don’t know what got into my cousin and me but, we waited until the tour left the area. I think you know what happened next. We ran into the grassy area, twirled around and jumped in the air while singing “The hills are alive with the Sound of Music…” BEST. IDEA. EVER. Except, we forgot all about the sprinklers and got wet. =))
4. I went to the beach with my cousins. While there, we didn’t want to walk all the way back to the bridge just to cross the manmade river. We decided to use a “shortcut” (cross huge rocks). I’m proud to say I was able to cross first. I was not willing to be swept by the strong current and swallowed alive by the South China Sea! Halfway through, I almost fell off a rock but thankfully all I got was a bleeding foot. While, my other cousin’s legs got stuck in quick sand, we had to pull him out of the water. I had a mini heart attack because we thought we’d lose him (although I was laughing at the same time). It was pretty weird but funny at the same time. I felt like Lara Croft.
5. On our way home, we ate Gabi ice cream for dessert. We passed by Everybody’s café in Pampanga and I had frogs and crickets for the first time!
B. The Mall
1. While looking at push up bras from La Senza, my mom went up to me and said, “Why will you buy push up bras? There’s nothing to push up!” I felt hurt by that! =))
2. You know those moments in movies where a guy and a girl walk towards each other in a mall or a park and suddenly everything becomes slow-motion? It happened to me a while ago, or it felt like it (maybe I was thinking about it in slow motion). I saw this really gorgeous guy at the mall while walking and our eyes suddenly met. Then, when the whole moment was over, I realized that I was wearing a huge top that would always fall down on the top and go up at the bottom. So, I looked down and guess what? My top was a mess, you could see bits of my bra and a little of my (tummy) skin. THE HORROR! The only thing going through my head was “SH*T SH*T SH*T!” I’m now comforting myself with the idea that it looked seductive =))
3. I was lining up to pay for underwear in a store where they sell clothes too when I found myself among men who were also lined up. How embarrassing is it to be buying underwear with my purchases being in plain sight of guys my age? It’s really awkward.
There are a couple more things that happened but my fingers are numb from the a/c and the typing. I know some of the things I wrote here may be confusing (I did not bother to proofread this). It’s just one of those moments I don’t want to think too much about what I’m writing. Just bear with me. You get the picture. Again, it may not be that funny to you because I am a horrible storyteller and I’m not the funniest person but, they are funny to me. And, I just wanted to write this so I’d remember them in the future! Definitely a fun way to end the year.
